A portrait of my friend Marita [link]
Drawn on A4 landscape format, this time mainly with Cretacolor Schwarzkreide black and white. (chalk) This one took far longer time to draw than most of my portraits, maybe around 10 hours. (usually my portraits takes 3 to 6 hours to draw) The main reason for this is the higher level of details the chalk-pencils I recently bought allow me to have. I used grids with 1 cm spacing to ensure accuracy and correct proportions. Daily DeviationGiven 2007-08-27There are many deviants skilled with charcoal or pencil, and there are many well executed, highly realistic portraits. But only a few manage to catch the humanity of the subject, the spark of life and feeling gone through the air to the eye, hand, pencil and paper. Michiko - Marita by ~Adrian87 doesn't get lost in the way but succeeds in bringing us a lot more than charcoal on paper. (Featured by `stigmatattoo) |
